The certificate itself is £320–£440 + VAT for a business of under 50 people, paid to your certification body — and, by our estimate, consultants typically charge around £600 a day to walk you through the questions. ReadyCert costs less than half the certificate fee, and the time it saves is the point.

Certification is bought separately from your IASME-licensed certification body; their assessment fee is not part of your ReadyCert subscription. ReadyCert is preparation software and cannot guarantee a pass.

Frequently asked questions

Does ReadyCert certify me?

No. Only an IASME-licensed certification body can assess you and award Cyber Essentials. ReadyCert is preparation software: it tells you what would fail today, shows you how to fix it, and drafts your answers and policies. You then buy the assessment from a certification body and submit your answers to them.

Is the assessment fee included?

No. The assessment fee is set by IASME by organisation size and is paid to your certification body, separately from your ReadyCert subscription. Use the free cost calculator to see the fee for your size of business.

What is free and what is paid?

The scoping wizard, the full readiness check, your verdict and the complete list of gaps are free, forever — and you can re-run the check whenever you like at no cost. The paid plan adds click-by-click fix guides for every gap, the eleven policy documents drafted from your answers, the answer pack for the official portal, and quarterly re-check reminders with year-round status and renewal reminders.

Is there a monthly option?

No. One plan, billed annually at £149 a year. Our first 50 customers pay £95 a year instead, and their price stays at £95 while their subscription stays active.

Can I cancel?

Yes, at any time. Access runs to the end of the paid year, and your free readiness check, verdict and gap list stay free after that.

Does ReadyCert connect to my systems?

No. You describe your own setup in plain English; ReadyCert never connects to your Microsoft, Google or other accounts and never stores credentials. Card details are handled by Stripe, never by ReadyCert.
